As is normal with swimming pools, the high ceiling required access to install the lighting and ceiling tiles, but the pool prohibited the access system from running on the floor.
NSS fixed a track to the rear balcony, and a second track to the exposed nodes of the roof framework. Using bridge panels, the tracks were spanned over 25m of the Manchester pool, and the access platform was fixed to the curving features of the ceiling.
